The National Institute of Health (NIH) awarded a phase I SBIR grant to Tango Biosciences in August 2026. This award will support the development of Tango Biosciences’ phage display platform to identify peptide tools that act as proximity inducing modalities (e.g., molecular glues). The program will generate proof-of-concept data for driving proximity of two protein targets using linked peptides amenable to analysis in a highly sensitive assay readout. Such tools may lead to the identification of new drugs for targeted protein degradation and beyond.
